Many times when we injure ourselves, we let go of everything else. Eventhough we have an injured wrist, shoulder or knee we stop working-out/training altogether.

The most certain way to create more issues and imbalances in the body, is to do NOTHING when injured!

Of course you maybe in pain that holds you back from strong activity. However, the body is designed to move, and even some gentle movements or stretches will not benefit you but will help you recover faster! For starters your mood will get a lifting as the sense of “success” will overflow you. Believe it or not, there is lots of negative self-talk when we are injured and unable to move. So, succeeding in doing some type of movement, will minimise that talk. The chemicals alone, that your brain will produce by this success feeling, are enough to accelerate your recovery.

Depending on your type of injury, you will need different exercises and attention. One of the main joints of our bodies, the knee, when injured if affects us in multiple ways. This video explains shortly some of the imbalances that are being created, and demonstrates some simple exercises to use in order to re-align the body and release some muscular tension.
